I was so excited to get the chance to photograph Jackie and Brian's engagement pictures. We had a fun time galavanting in a park in Batavia, NY. Jackie and Brian met at work and had been dating for over a year before they got engaged. They are tying the knot next May and I'm so excited to be in their wedding and celebrate their love!

Engagement :: Katie & Justin
This is a very special blog post today because it is a couple very near and dear to my heart, my brother Justin and his fiancee, Katie. They met their Freshman year of college at Houghton and started dating the beginning of their sophomore year... 7 years later they are getting married! It's been wonderful to watch this couple grow individually and grow together and I could not be more thrilled for their future together. We spent some time taking pictures up at Katie's parent's house in Beaverton, ON. Luckily we got to photograph more than one day which gave a good variety of lighting and settings!

Greens. Greens. Greens.
One thing I'm looking forward to the most this summer is local fresh produce! Yesterday I ate only fruit all day, it's not as hard as you think. Today I noticed that my face looked more refreshed and my skin was clearer. One day! I know! it sounds crazy but thats the powers of fruits and veggies. Today is my only-vegetables day (minus my cup of coffee this morning). Honestly contemplating to make one day a week where I only eat fruits and vegetables all day. With that said, I'm super excited for local produce this summer because right across the street form me, the Co-op is opening which is such a great thing and will make produce more accessible.

Hackett Christmas
I just realized I never posted any photos from my family's Christmas card. We're a goofy bunch, and I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Card :: Ademas
Such a beautiful family of five! It's always an adventure photographing these little ones, this time we went to an outdoor church close to their house. While they weren't going for the religious feel, the setting was beautiful for some Christmas card pictures!
Food
I really enjoy photographing food. Food in itself is an art form and usually involves the most brilliant colors.
Artichokes, Roasted Red Peppers, Asparagus
